Space Lab® offers full life cycle engineering services including project management, fundamental research, feasibility and trade studies, model based systems engineering, requirements management, electrical and mechanical design, process engineering, human-centered design, reliability engineering, advanced simulation (CFD, thermal, structural, and electromagnetic), fabrication and integration support, test system development, verification and validation, operations support, and flight data analysis.

Space Lab’s core competencies include habitation systems (space agriculture, thermal control, air revitalization, water recovery, environmental monitoring, spacesuit components, crew accommodations, crew interfaces, human factors design, and space architecture) as well as space systems (high rate telemetry, RF systems & antennas, structures & deployment, vacuum systems, attitude determination, power systems, command & data handling, ground data systems, test support systems, and rad hard electrometers).  Space Lab® also conducts cutting edge research in space sciences including space plasmas, radiation, microgravity fluid physics, and plant life sciences. Space Lab provides custom solutions for mission specific applications. 
For advance simulations, Space Lab® utilizes an HP Z8 36-Core workstation (72 Virtual Processors and 800 GB RAM) with MATLAB®, COMSOL® Multiphysics, & SolidWorks® (CAD Premium, Simulation Premium, & Flow Simulation).  Space Lab has advanced 3D-printing capabilities for rapid prototyping which support numerous low & high temp filaments, resins for SiO2 ceramics, aerospace grade materials, and FDA approved bio-compatible materials (elastic and rigid). 

​Space Lab® engineers have extensive industry experience industry experience in developing highly reliable and 100% successful flight and ground systems for small satellites, high altitude balloons, sub-orbital rockets, and space habitats. In the last four years, the company has been awarded over $3 million in contracts and grants for innovative research & development, from NASA SBIR/STTR, NASA STMD Flight Opportunities, and the Translational Research Institute for Space Health.
